Hollywood Police Chase Ends in Crash Injuring Two People
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 10, 2019) – Two people were injured after a police chase ended in a crash on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, Monday afternoon.
Officials said the incident started just after 3:00 p.m., when officers began pursuing a reckless driving suspect in the area of Melrose and North Hayworth Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles police, a black Mercedes suddenly collided into a Kia for unknown reasons. Paramedics were immediately called due to needed medical assistance.
Two unidentified victims reportedly suffered minor injuries following the crash; however, they refused to receive any medical treatment.
The police eventually set up a perimeter in the area of Crescent Heights Boulevard and Willoughby Avenue, because multiple suspects fled the scene on foot amidst the confusion.
Officers later searched the neighborhood for the men who fled. The three suspects were later found and ultimately arrested without incident.
