2 Hospitalized in Vacaville Accident on Interstate 80 near Lagoon Valley Road

 
VACAVILLE, CA (December 3, 2020) – Tuesday, two people sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 80 near Lagoon Valley Road overpass.
 
According to California Highway Patrol spokesman Dave Harvey, a westbound vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it struck a FedEx tractor-trailer. Afterward, the vehicle lost control, spun, and collided with an unoccupied Caltrans truck parked on the right-hand shoulder of the road.
 
Responders transported the driver and a passenger to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center after sustaining moderate injuries.
 
Also, the crash slowed down traffic along westbound Interstate 80 through Vacaville.
 
The incident is under investigation.
