Driver Detained after Antioch Injury Accident on Deer Valley Road

 
ANTIOCH, CA (August 27, 2020) – Monday night, two people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Deer Valley Road.
 
An officer responded to a large pickup truck and small sedan crash at 11:34 p.m. on Deer Valley Road and Asilomar Drive.
 
According to some witnesses, the pickup truck driver and the female passenger escaped after running the red light and hitting the sedan. Officers came and looked for them. Afterward, they located them a few blocks away.
 
They arrested the 29-year-old man and booked him into the country jail. However, his identity remains unreleased.
 
Moreover, the male driver and passenger in the sedan sustained serious injuries. However, crews took more than 30 minutes to extricate them from the vehicle. A helicopter transported both of them to a hospital.
 
Furthermore, one of them stayed in critical condition, the police revealed.
 
Also, the crash remains under active investigation.
