One Person Flees after a Head-On Crash near Weott in Humboldt County
Humboldt County, CA (September 24, 2021) – Friday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a head-on crash south of Burlington near Weott.
The crash in Humboldt happened at around 1:40 p.m. on September 24 near Weott on the Avenue of the Giants.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash involved two vehicles. One of the occupants of one of the vehicles fled on foot leaving two people injured.
Moreover, police said a trapped patient needed an extrication. Two patients received moderate to major injuries in the collision.
Meanwhile, multiple CHP officers assisted by deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department searched for the suspect to no avail.
