2 Hospitalized in San Diego Accident on State Route 163 and University Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 27, 2022) – Wednesday morning, two people sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on State Route 163 and University Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 2:30 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on eastbound State Route 163 and University Avenue.
Reports revealed that a GMC Sierra pickup truck entered southbound State Route 163 in the wrong direction. Then, the pickup truck collided head-on with a Honda CR-V.
Moreover, responders transported the male driver of the Honda to Scripps Mercy Hospital with major injuries. Also, paramedics transported the female pickup driver after she hyperventilated while speaking with the authorities.
Furthermore, the incident remains under investigation.
