2 Hurt in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Highway 58 and Union Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 21, 2022) – Saturday, two officers sustained injuries in a police chase crash on Highway 58 and Union Avenue.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened on Highway 58 and Union Avenue.
Reports revealed that authorities spotted a stolen vehicle at around 11:33 a.m. Then, when officers attempted to pull over the vehicle, the driver fled the scene in the 300 block of South Union Avenue. Also, officers lost control while on the pursuit of Highway 58 eastbound on-ramp, from Union Avenue. Then, they crashed into a tree.
Moreover, responders transported two officers to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the suspect remained at large.
