2 Injured in San Diego Car Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 17, 2019) – Two people, a driver and a passenger, suffered injuries after a car accident on April 15 in the South Bay.
According to reports, her vehicle went off the road and went down a drainage ditch. The incident happened about 9:40 p.m. on Main Street, west of 5 Freeway in Egger Highlands Area, SDP Officer John Buttle said.
Buttle added that a 24-year-old man drove a westbound 2013 Chevrolet sedan when the road curved sharply to the right. He couldn’t make a turn and then went off the road and into a drainage ditch.
Meanwhile, the female front passenger sustained a displaced pelvis, brain bleed, and brain swelling, Buttle revealed.
Medics transported her to a hospital in critical condition.
Moreover, responders also transported the driver to a hospital. However, the extent of his injuries is still unavailable as of this time.
The crash remains under investigation of the traffic division detectives.
