SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2021) – Sunday morning, two drivers suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Interstate 8 near Taylor Street.
 
Before the crash, the CHP received a report of an unknown vehicle driving south. The initial report happened in the northbound lanes near Sea World Drive on Interstate 15.
 
Then, by 2:19 a.m., the authorities found out about a crash on westbound Interstate 8 near Taylor Street.
 
Upon the first responders’ arrival, they located a black BMW sedan with a silver Honda Sedan that had crashed head-on.
 
Responders extricated the Honda driver from the vehicle. Then, they took him to a trauma center with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the BMW driver sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined which car contained the wrong-way drive.
 
Also, the authorities investigate the crash as a DUI.
