2 Dead, 2 Injured Following Two-Car Accident in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 3, 2019) – Two people lost their lives following Thursday’s two-car accident on the 10 Freeway near Hauser Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the devastating crash took place around 4:20 a.m.
Just near the Washington Boulevard off-ramp in the No. 3 lane, a Nissan Altima stalled for unknown reasons. Subsequently, a pickup truck, which investigators believe was traveling at a high rate of speed, plowed into the Nissan, killing two people at the scene.
According to reports, one of the deceased was ejected from the Nissan Altima sedan.
The victims were only described as a man and a woman in their 40s.
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old Nissan driver suffered major injuries and sought treatment at a local hospital. As far as the pickup driver, paramedics treated him at the scene for minor injuries.
Following the crash, drivers faced a two-lane closure near La Brea Avenue and Washington Boulevard. By 8:25 a.m., traffic resumed to normal conditions.
Details concerning what led to the crash are still under investigation by officers.
