2 Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Coarsegold
COARSEGOLD, CA (February 11, 2020)—Two people died Sunday morning following a single-vehicle accident on Highway 41 near Morava Road.
According to reports, California Highway Patrol described the victims as a 48-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, whose relationship remains uncertain.
The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m., just before a witness reported seeing the vehicle overcorrect and crash into nearby trees. Subsequently, the car overturned onto its side and began to smoke.
Emergency Personnel arrived immediately after and pronounced both occupants of the car deceased at the scene. Their names have not been announced by the coroner’s office.
Information concerning the exact cause of the accident near Morava Road has yet to be determined by officials.
