2 Dead, 3 Injured in Collision on Highway 166 Crash near Rock Front Ranch [Santa Barbara County, CA]

Fatal Head-On Collision Reported in Santa Barbara County

 
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (April 8, 2019) – Early Saturday afternoon, two victims were killed and three were injured in a head-on collision on Highway 166.
 
To begin, the fatal accident happened around 12:34 p.m. Dispatchers then arrived just three miles west of Rock Front Ranch shortly after.
 
The events leading up to the crash are currently unclear. However, reports indicate that paramedics were immediately called for needed medical assistance.
 
Two vehicles were found with significant damage as a result of the collision. Moreover, one victim required air transport to a nearby hospital due to the extent of their injuries. The other two were transported by ground ambulance.
 
Furthermore, two people were found unresponsive and pronounced dead upon medics arrival. Their identities have not yet been released to the public.
 
Because information is short, authorities are currently investigating to eventually determine the ultimate cause and circumstances.
