Traffic Collision on Zier Road Injures 27-Year-Old Driver
Yakima, WA (March 21, 2023) On Tuesday morning, a 2-car crash on 72nd Avenue resulted in serious injuries for a 19-year-old woman.
Yakima PD says that the traffic collision happened at around 1 a.m. at the intersection with Zier Road.
Reports say that the woman was in an eastbound Toyota sedan turning left at the intersection when a 27-year-old man drove into the crossing and collided with the Toyota.
Officials say that one driver was trapped inside their vehicle, Yakima firefighters extricated the driver.
Police says that the 19-year-old woman was rushed to Yakima Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old driver sustained minor injuries.
YPD is investigating the traffic collision and have not released further information about the 2-car crash on 72nd Avenue.
