The American Canyon Police Department (ACPD) says that the incident happened at about 3 p.m. in the area of Silver Oak Trail and Toscana Drive.

Police say that a GMC SUV hit a 15-year-old pedestrian walking outside of a crosswalk.

Rescuers took the teen to the Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
