Teen Bicyclist Hospitalized after Struck by Van near B Street

 
RAMONA, CA (November 13, 2018) – A 13-year-old girl was injured Tuesday afternoon following a bicycle crash on 10th Street. The name and place of residence of the young victim have not yet been released to the public.
 
According to officials, the incident took place shortly before 3:00 PM near B Street. A van was heading west on 10th Street when it struck a young teen that was going north on a light green Huffy bike.
 
Due to the impact of the incident, the girl was ejected from her bicycle, causing minor injuries. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and medical evaluation. Further updates on her current medical condition were not immediately available. Meanwhile, the man driving the van remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
