LOS ANGELES, CA (August 20, 2020) – On Wednesday morning, two people sustained injuries in a bus crash on Whittier Boulevard.
 
The crash was between a Metro Rapid bus and a Volkswagen Beetle. It happened at around 10:45 a.m. in the 4200 block of Whittier Boulevard, near South Downey Road.
 
Due to the crash, the Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson confirmed that 12 people sustained injuries. Two of them sustained critical injuries while the 10 others suffered minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the 17-year-old driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
The crash on Whittier Boulevard remains under active investigation.
