COLFAX, CA (October 6, 2020) – Monday afternoon, a person sustained injuries in a 7-vehicle crash on the 80 Freeway in Placer County.
 
The incident occurred about 5:50 p.m. on 80 Freeway, east of Colfax, the CHP Gold Run division revealed. Furthermore, the crash involving a jackknifed big rig shut down the westbound traffic on 80 Freeway for multiple hours.
 
By 9:30 p.m., the authorities reopened the roadway.
 
Meanwhile, Cal Fire’s Nevada Placer Yuba division confirmed that the crash involved four big rigs and three vehicles.
 
As a result of the crash, one person sustained minor injuries, Cal Fire revealed.
