Person Missing in Fatal Malibu Single-Vehicle Accident on Highway 1 near Deer Creek Beach
MALIBU, CA (February 2, 2021) – Early Monday morning, a person died, while at least one more went missing after a crash on Highway 1 near Deer Creek Beach.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 1:40 a.m. Moreover, it happened near Deer Creek Beach in Ventura County.
Reports revealed that one person died in the accident. Additionally, police pronounced at least one person missing after the car veered off the road towards the ocean.
A short boulder-covered slope separates The Pacific Coast Highway and the beach, authorities said.
Responders from CHP and County Fire found the car resting on its roof in the surf. Moreover, the paramedics pronounced the trapped driver of the vehicle dead at the scene.
