1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in San Jose Accident on Highway 101 near Tully Road
SAN JOSE, CA (October 19, 2021) – Saturday morning, a person died in a crash on Highway 101 near Tully Road.
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 2:47 a.m. on Highway 101 near Tully Road.
Reports revealed that a northbound yellow Mitsubishi rear-ended a white van. Then, the force of the crash pushed the van off the road and caused it to overturn.
Moments later, a white Lexus struck the Mitsubishi driver who got out of the vehicle and was standing on the road. The force of the crash threw the victim into the median lane of the highway.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the van driver to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the incident closed all lanes of Highway 101 but has long since reopened.
