EL CAJON, CA (March 15, 2023) – Monday night, a person died in a tragic pedestrian crash on Interstate 8 near W Main Street.

The incident occurred just after 8:20 p.m. on westbound Interstate 8 near W Main Street.

According to reports, a man walked into the path of a driver as the vehicle attempted to change lanes.

As a result, the authorities declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old male driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. Thus, responders took him to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

At this time, the authorities do not suspect that the driver has been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
