The accident occurred at around 8:24 p.m. on Washington Street and Avenue 42.

According to the Cal Fire officials, the two-vehicle crash needed extrication. Moreover, one person succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Meanwhile, one person suffered moderate injuries while two others sustained minor injuries.

As a result of the crash, authorities shut down Southbound Washington Street between Harris Lane to Avenue 42.
