1 Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on S Lake Road and Gardner Field Road

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 29, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a person died in a head-on crash on S Lake Road and Gardner Field Road.
 
The incident involving an Acura SUV and a Chevrolet pickup truck happened at about 12:22 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on S Lake Road, just east of Gardner Field Road.
 
According to reports, an Acura SUV headed east on S Lake Road. Meanwhile, the Chevy pickup truck headed west on the same road. Then, the vehicles crashed and the Acura driver died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver sustained a broken leg and required hospitalization.
 
CHP confirmed that they didn’t find any sign that either driver applied their brakes before the crash.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the Acura driver due to pending family notification.
 
Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
