1 Dead in Blythe Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway and Arrowhead Boulevard

 
BLYTHE, CA (July 22, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a person died in a big rig crash on 10 Freeway and Arrowhead Boulevard.
 
The incident happened when a big rig went off the road at 2:14 a.m. According to reports, the crash occurred on eastbound 10 Freeway, west of Arrowhead Boulevard.
 
Reports revealed that the tractor-trailer veered off the road for unidentified reasons. It crashed into two trucks that stopped on the shoulder. Then, it hit a 41-year-old Maricopa man standing outside one of the trucks while working on mechanical issues. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased.
 
Then, the big rig overturned, leaving its 60-year-old driver Samuel Garcia of injuries. Garcia from Whittier sustained a head injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, a woman in one of the vehicles also complained of pain. However, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether responders took her to a hospital.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
