1 Dead in Tehachapi Crash on Highway 58 and Challenger Drive

 
TEHACHAPI, CA (March 23, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a person died in an auto accident on Highway 58 and Challenger Drive.
 
The crash occurred at around 11:02 a.m. on Highway 58 and Challenger Drive. According to reports, the authorities shut down the road and diverted the traffic to S Mill Street back to Highway 58.
 
Reports confirmed that a 53-foot semitrailer crashed into the center divider. However, the authorities haven’t confirmed who died at the scene.
 
As a result of the crash, over 100 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled on the road. Moreover, crews responded to clean up the area and authorities advised motorists to drive with caution.
 
The Tehachapi Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office both responded to the scene.
