Passenger Dies after Tesla VS Sedan Crash on Garden Grove Boulevard 

Garden Grove, CA (November 11, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one person died, and two others sustained severe injuries in a crash on Garden Grove Boulevard.

The fatal two-vehicle crash in Garden Grove happened around 12:45 a.m. on November 11.

Garden Grove Police said the collision involved an ablaze gray Tesla sedan when officers arrived on the scene. 

Emergency personnel and witnesses worked together to pull at least two people from their vehicles after the crash.

As a result, the driver of the Tesla was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. The Tesla’s passenger, however, died at the scene. 

Another driver in the crash suffered “critical injuries” but was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

It still is unclear if this driver is the woman who was seen being pulled from a vehicle with apparent leg injuries.

Investigators said the impact sent the engine of one sedan flying out of the vehicle and onto the street; it is believed to have been caused by the Tesla driver.

That driver is “suspected of both speeding and driving under the influence,” and police plan to pursue DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
