56-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after a Two-Vehicle Crash on State Route 97 in Toppenish

 
Toppenish, WA (April 23, 2021) – Friday morning, a 56-year-old man from Union Gap sustained injuries after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 97.
 
The Toppenish crash happened on April 23.
 
According to reports, a 65-year-old driver from Mabton was driving westbound on Larue Road, roughly a mile outside of Toppenish. Meanwhile, the victim headed southbound on SR 97 approaching the intersection at Larue Road.
 
The first vehicle failed to yield to the right of way and crashed into the victim’s vehicle at the intersection.
 
EMS took him to Astria Toppenish Hospital to treat his injuries. The other driver remains uninjured.
 
Moreover, WSP said no alcohol or drugs are involved in this State Route 97 crash.
