2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Thousand Oaks Ends in Injuries
THOUAND OAKS, CA (February 6, 2020) — At least one person was injured following a two-vehicle crash that unfolded on Highway 101 Wednesday evening.
According to news reports, the collision happened around 7:30 p.m., near the Wendy Drive off-ramp. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
Investigators later determined that a gray Volkswagen and a black Porsche collided on the highway. However, the events leading up to the crash are currently unclear.
Upon arrival, medical crews located an unidentified victim with serious injuries inside one of the vehicles.
As a result of the accident, officers were forced to close all lanes on Highway 101 until around 8:40 p.m. Meanwhile, paramedics ushered another victim to Los Robles Health System with minor injuries.
Although the cause of the crash remains uncertain, authorities plan to further examine the accident.
