1 Injured in DUI Car Crash on Dakota Avenue [Fresno, CA]

FRESNO, CA (September 26, 2019) – On Thursday morning, one person suffered injuries in a possible DUI car crash on Dakota Avenue..
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash happened around 5:30 AM near Cedar Avenue. In addition, officers reported that a black Audi ran a red light. As a result, the Audi hit a traffic light pole and three other cars.
 
First responders arrive at the scene shortly after. After that, paramedics transported the passenger in the Audi to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. However, his current medical condition is unclear at this time.
 
Law enforcement arrested the Audi driver for driving under the influence.
 
The surrounding area closed off for a brief time for cleanup and a preliminary investigation. However, the road has since reopened. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
