COWLITZ COUNTY, WA (October 17, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, a person suffered injuries in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 5 at Milepost 36.
 
The incident happened at around 1:20 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 at Milepost 36.
 
According to reports, a tired driver pulled over on the left shoulder and partially blocked the left lane.
 
After the crash, two vehicles struck that car. Then, a fourth car struck one of the other cars.
 
Moreover, the responders took the driver of the first car to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the second car’s driver sustained minor injuries.
