Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near 25th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 2, 2018) – One person was hospitalized after a rollover crash on Highway 94 (Martin Luther King Jr Freeway), late Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:20 PM, near 25th Street. The incident occurred when a black truck and a gold SUV collided. The events leading up to the collision are unknown at this time.
Officials arrived at the scene to find the SUV overturned, and debris was scattered across the lanes of the highway.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department confirmed that one person was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. First responders reported that the injuries sustained by the victim were considered non-life threatening, but there is no update on their current medical condition.
Firefighters briefly blocked the far right lane of the freeway while clearing operations and investigation took place. The lanes were reopened before 5:30 PM that same evening. Additional information will be released once it becomes available, as the accident is still under investigation.
