1 Injured in Phoenix Accident near 43rd Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (September 16, 2020) – Monday night, a person suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road.
The incident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road. According to the police, a dark-colored SUV struck the pedestrian walking across 42nd Avenue mid-block.
Afterward, the SUV driver failed to stop and fled the scene. The Arizona law states that leaving the injury crash scene is illegal.
Responders transported the unidentified man to the hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, he is expected to survive. Police said that they will check the surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store to find out who the driver was.
