ARCADIA, CA (August 8, 2021) – Friday night, a person died in a two-vehicle crash on Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive.
 
According to Sgt. Steven Castillo of the Arcadia Police Department, the incident happened at around 10:50 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive.
 
Reports revealed that an eastbound vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, the vehicle lost control, veered across the median, and collided head-on with another vehicle.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced the driver of the second vehicle died at the scene. Paramedics extricated a passenger from the second vehicle. Then, they transported the patient to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the first vehicle appeared injured. Later, the authorities suspected the driver of the first vehicle of driving under the influence. Moreover, authorities transported the suspect to Huntington Memorial for evaluation.
