1 Dead in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 60 Freeway [Ontario, CA]

1 Killed in Auto Accident on 60 Freeway in Ontario

 
ONTARIO, CA (October 20, 2020) – Sunday morning, a person died following a multi-vehicle crash on 60 Freeway in Ontario, California.
 
According to authorities, at around 12:30 a.m., a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed failed to stop while approaching a construction site. As a result, it crashed into a car, causing a chain-reaction crash involving two more vehicles.
 
After the crash, the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot by jumping over the median. Then, he tried to dart across the eastbound lanes. However, a vehicle struck the driver attempting to flee.
 
Meanwhile, responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, authorities closed the freeway for several hours.
 
The authorities revealed that there were no additional injuries following the crash. Moreover, alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in the incident.
