Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Oroville
OROVILLE, CA (January 17, 2020) — One person died in a pedestrian crash near Olive Highway and Foothill Boulevard Wednesday evening.
Around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the scene to find a witness providing aid to the seriously injured pedestrian.
Oroville Fire and Butte County EMS arrived shortly after and continued life-saving efforts; however, the unidentified 57-year-old victim died not long after.
According to police, the person’s identity will be withheld until the next of kin is notified. Anyone with information should contact Oroville Police at 530-538-2448 and reference case # 20-208.
Reports had not mentioned any news related to the other driver or whether that person stayed at the scene.
