1 Killed and 4 Hospitalized in Sunol Auto Accident near Route 84 and Highway 680

 
SUNOL, CA (September 6, 2021) – Sunday morning, a person died in a head-on crash on Route 84 near Highway 680.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Route 84, east of Interstate Highway 680.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound white Chevrolet Tahoe turned left for still unknown reasons. As it went into the eastbound lane, it collided head-on with a black Dodge Charger.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the drivers of both vehicles and three passengers of the Dodge to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Moreover, officials confirmed that the child died from injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the incident closed both directions of State Route 84 for about three hours.
 
Also, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
