Fatal Head-On Collision Reported in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 23, 2020)—A head-on collision on Eagles Nest Road near Kiefer Boulevard Wednesday morning turned fatal.
 
According to reports, investigators believe one car was trying to pass another, moments before the crash occurred.
 
California Highway Patrol officers said the incident took place around 7:30 a.m. just south of Mathers Golf Course. It appears five people had been traveling in one car and one person in the other.
 
Unfortunately, the solo driver died, and the five others suffered injuries–two of whom with major injuries while the other three with only minor injuries.
 
Officials plan to investigate the case further to determine the specific details.
