Woman Dead After Car Crashes in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (May 16, 2019) – A woman died Tuesday when a vehicle crashed and struck two pedestrians on Aurora Avenue North at 6th Avenue North.
Authorities are investigating the events that unfolded before the fatal crash.
According to news reports, the 5 p.m. accident happened near Canlis restaurant.
The Seattle Fire Department said a woman inside a Toyota Prius died at the scene. The driver, as well as two pedestrians described as men ages 27 and 28, suffered injuries.
The pedestrians reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries and sought treatment at Harborview Medical Center. Paramedics also brought the driver to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities determined that the car crashed moments before hitting the two men who, reports say, were cooks at the Canlis restaurant. Fortunately, no buildings were damaged in the collision.
Because crash details are limited, a follow-up investigation is underway.
