Minor Injuries Reported in Santa Ana Two-Vehicle Accident on State Route 55 and Edinger Avenue
SANTA ANA, CA (March 28, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, authorities arrested a person following a DUI crash on State Route 55 and Edinger Avenue.
The crash happened at about 2:31 a.m. on State Route 55, just north of Edinger Avenue.
Upon the responders’ arrival, they located two overturned vehicles. Moreover, the crash includes a blue 2007 Toyota Camry down a ditch and another blue 2009 Toyota Camry with a person trapped inside.
After freeing the trapped victim, medics transported him to an area hospital. Eventually, the authorities arrested him on suspicion of DUI.
Moreover, two occupants of the 2007 Camry suffered minor injuries but refused ambulance transport.
According to some witnesses, the 2009 Camry drove in and out of lanes. Then, it rear-ended the 2007 Camry and caused both vehicles to overturn.
Also, the crash sheered and knocked down a large pole but didn’t cause any hazard.
