Injuries Reported in Yucca Valley Hit-and-Run Crash on Twentynine Palms Highway and Hopi Trail
YUCCA VALLEY, CA (June 26, 2022) – Wednesday morning, Zulema Ramirez-Smith escaped after a crash on Twentynine Palms Highway and Hopi Trail.
The incident occurred at about 7:25 a.m. on Twentynine Palms Highway and Hapi Trail.
According to reports, 32-year-old Zulema Ramirez-Smith of San Diego drove a Chrysler van west of Twentynine Palms Highway. Meanwhile, the bus driver stopped at a bus stop with two passengers inside.
Then, Smith veered from the left lane into the right lane. Afterward, she ran into the rear driver’s side of the bus.
After the crash, she left her can at the scene before the deputies arrived. Also, she did not try to exchange information with the bus driver.
Meanwhile, responders treated the driver and two passengers of the bus at the scene.
