66-Year-Old Pedestrian Dead after Car Accident on Adams Street and Avenue 47 Intersection
LA QUINTA, CA (January 18, 2018) – On Thursday afternoon around 12:45 PM, a 66-year-old Russian woman, Zina Kriveztkaya, was hit and by a car while crossing Adams St.
Deputy Armando Munoz of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said that investigation determined that a Cadillac sedan made a westbound turn onto Avenue 47 from Adams St, and struck the woman.
Kriveztkaya suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead about two hours later, according to the Riverside Coroner’s Office.
The driver stayed at the scene and called officials to the scene of the crash, cooperated with the legal process. The use of drugs and alcohol do not seem to be contributing factors to this fatal incident. Southbound Adams St from Ave 47 was closed down for investigation and clearing of the road. The road reopened later on that same day.
