Zakeria Bol Dies in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident, Benjamin Brown Injured
LUBBOCK, TX (November 20, 2024) – Tuesday night, a fatal pedestrian crash Idalou Road claimed the life of Zakeria Bol, 18.
The hit-and-run accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Idalou Road.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, a car struck two pedestrians for still unknown reasons. These individuals were identified as 18-year-old Zakeria Bol and 18-year-old Benjamin Brown.
Moreover, authorities confirmed that Bol died in the crash. Then, responders transported one person to UMC with moderate injuries.
Furthermore, the crash closed Idalou Road in both directions but has long since reopened.
The events leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. However, it is known that 18-year-old Brown was taken to UMC to treat his injuries.
Due to limited information, the LPD continued investigating the Lubbock accident.
