Driver Arrested in Lubbock Fatal Crash
Lubbock, TX (March 30, 2024) – 31-year-old Zackery Lowe and 23-year-old Cheyanne Perez were killed following a DWI crash on Slide Road early Wednesday morning.
The authorities responded at 2 a.m. to the fatal collision on 46th Street.
Investigators said a southbound motorcycle driven by Lowe with Perez as a passenger collided with a passenger car driven by 23-year-old Joshua Mendez.
Unfortunately, Lowe and Perez were both killed at the crash scene.
Mendez, on the other hand, incurred minor injuries.
The authorities arrested and transported him to the Lubbock County Detention Center with charges of DWI and unlawful carry of a weapon.
