Cheyenne Lattin and David Thomas Involved in Fatal Traffic Collision on County Road 1150
Midland County, TX (March 1, 2024) On Tuesday morning, 31-year-old Zachary Rogers of Tucumcari, NM, died after a horrific 2-vehicle crash on SH 158.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal traffic collision happened on SH 158 and County Road 1150.
Reports say that Rogers was a passenger in a 2022 Ford F-150, driven by 36-year-old Cheyenne Lattin also from Tucumcari, that failed to yield to the right of way and crashed with a 2019 Mack dump truck, driven by 33-year-old David Thomas of Odessa.
The impact of the crash caused the Ford off the road and crashed into a utility pole.
Authorities pronounced Rogers dead at the scene, while Lattin suffered minor injuries and was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital. Officials say that Thomas escaped injuries.
DPS is investigating the deadly traffic crash.
