2 People Hospitalized in Jefferson City Traffic Accident on Highway 50 and Highway 63
JEFFERSON CITY, MO (July 18, 2024) – Monday night, Zachary Parsons and Tashay Benford sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 50.
Reports said that the incident happened at around 10:39 p.m. on Highway 50 and Highway 63.
According to the Jefferson City Police Department, authorities received a report about a westbound car that was traveling on the eastbound lane of Highway 50 and Highway 63. Then, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a 2021 Toyota Corolla that collided with a 2022 Ford Escape.
Moreover, responders airlifted the driver of the Corolla, identified as 38-year-old Parsons, and the driver of the Ford, identified as 28-year-old Benford, to a hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
Furthermore, Jefferson City police suspect Parsons of DWI.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Jefferson City Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
