Hemet Man Dies in Afternoon Motorcycle Crash on Highway 74 at Grand Avenue
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (April 7, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision with a vehicle Sunday afternoon in Lake Elsinore.
The fatal collision happened around 4:17 p.m. p.m. on Highway 74, roughly two miles South of Grand Avenue.
According to the CHP and Riverside County Fire Department, a motorcycle and a sedan collided for unknown reasons, sending the bike about 200 feet off the side of the highway.
The rider, identified as a 27-year-old Zachary Jacobson of Hemet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown whether or not the other motorist or anyone else was hurt in the crash. The CHP is heading up the investigation.
