1 Dead in Butte County Pedestrian Accident on Las Plumas Avenue and Wyandotte Road

 
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (October 5, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a deadly pedestrian crash on Las Plumas Avenue and Wyandotte Road involved Zachary Beyer.
 
The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Las Plumas Avenue, west of Wyandotte Road.
 
According to reports, a person was lying in the center median. Then, two drivers pulled over and turned on their hazard lights before calling 911.
 
However, Zachary Beyer drove a Nissan east on Las Plumas Avenue at around 25 mph. Then, Beyer continued, passing the stopped vehicles by driving in the center median. Afterward, he struck the man laying on the road.
 
As a result, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
Moreover, officers confirmed that Beyer was not under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Hence, they didn’t make any arrests.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash. Furthermore, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
