Lucas M Wagoner, Yvonne Wold, Brad J Evans, Jeriah J Frye, and Two Others Injured
VANCOUVER, WA (March 12, 2018) – The Washington State Patrol reported a four-car collision on Interstate 205 that injured six people, on Monday evening.
29-year-old Lucas M Wagoner was driving on the highway in a white 1995 Toyota Tacoma, and attempted to change form the right lane to the center lane of the freeway. He crashed into the rear-end of a Lexus GX SUV, driven by 60-year-old Yvonne Wold with two children sitting as passengers.
The Lexus was pushed from the impact into a Subaru Outback driven by 41-year-old Brad J Evans. Wagoner’s truck rolled and continued traveling the wrong-way, colliding with a 2014 Toyota Tundra.
Everyone, other than the 68-year-old Vancouver man in the Tundra, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Evans was taken to the Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center and later released. Wagoner’s 18-year-old passenger, Jeriah J Frye of Spokane, was transported to the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
Troopers said that drugs and alcohol did not contribute to the accident, but that excessive speed and unsafe lane changes were the ultimate cause. Wagoner was cited on suspicion of second-degree negligent driver. No other information has been released at this time.
Looking over your shoulder while changing lanes, and following proper procedure is especially important while driving at high speeds on the highway. By going the appropriate speed limit and following the rules of the road, dangerous accidents can be avoided.
