Young Boy Hospitalized After Bus Crash on Chico Way NW in Bremerton

Bremerton, WA (September 27, 2024) – A young boy, aged between 5 and 6, was hospitalized after a bus crash on Chico Way NW on Friday afternoon. 

According to Kitsap Police, the incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. on Chico Way NW. The boy was in a cart being pulled by another child, who lost control, causing the cart to roll into the path of the oncoming bus. 

The cart, which had rolled down a steep driveway, was hit by the bus. 

The bus had no students on board at the time, and no other injuries were reported. 

The boy was transported to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma. 

Authorities are actively investigating the incident as of Friday evening.
