Youa Xiong Fatally Injured in Clovis Motorcycle Accident on Ashlan Avenue
CLOVIS, CA (October 7, 2019) – A Clovis woman identified as 32-year-old Youa Xiong died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 5.
According to CHP officers, Xiong veered onto the dirt shoulder and lost control near Ashlan and Highland Avenue shortly after midnight.
A man on a motorcycle took a quick turn to avoid striking her. He was also ejected from his bike. But then a man driving a white Toyota Corolla was unable to avoid her. The car struck Xiong and she succumbed to sustained injuries at the scene.
Officers said that the Corolla’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with their investigation.
Officials are still determining what caused the initial crash.
