Yessenia Camacho Killed in Los Angeles Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 11, 2019) — Officials have identified 28-year-old Yessenia Camacho of Lancaster as the woman who died in a multi-vehicle collision on 5 Freeway on Friday.
The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway near the 405 Freeway interchange at about 5:15 a.m. The California Highway Patrol said it involved four or five vehicles.
One of the vehicles ended across two lanes as a result. It sustained heavy front-end damage. Another vehicle crashed into a railing on the side of the freeway.
The crash also forced the closure of several lanes of the 5 Freeway until about 7:30 a.m.
The cause and circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately clear. However, further investigation is underway.
