FRESNO, CA (September 8, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, authorities arrested Yesenia Renteria after a disastrous vehicle crash on Tulare Avenue.

The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Cedar Avenue and Tulare Avenue.

According to reports, a truck traveling in a reckless manner collided with a bus stop for still unknown reasons. Then, a white-colored vehicle picked up the 16-year-old driver of the truck.

Moreover, responders transported 11 children to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate and arrest the teenage hit-and-run driver, his sister, and her mother, 36-year-old Yesenia Renteria. Also, the hit-and-run driver was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and felony DUI charges while the mother was arrested on suspicion of felony accessory after the fact.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
